The Day The Music Died

Sun Aug 21, 2005, 1:02 PM
"And moss grows fat on a rollin’ stone"

no matter how fast you try to run from all your problems, they will only continue to build up. but for some reason we contuine to glamorize it; every teen wants to run away, but what are you running from, and where are you going? someone that runs with no direction only winds up getting more lost. it's a backwards society, cleverly instilling it's own morals and ideals into us. if you stay on society's good side, you prosper, and if you rebel, you're respected and adored. and the way trends have been popping up lately, i find myself asking the question of why people choose these lifestyles? are they being upstanding citizens because they feel it's the moral thing to do, or just because they want more money. are they rebeling because they want to make a difference, or just because they want the attention? is anything done anymore without some kind of insentive put on by our materialistic society? what is your motivation? and are you motivated enough to stick with it, even when you don't get the expected results? do you fight for ways to suceed, or look for oppurtunities to justify your failure? what is it you're looking for? Are you willing to ever give up on your search?

was the music ever really alive?
